Roadmap, plainly

Breadth

Our goal is to cover every VC2 subject except LOTE — there are too many languages for us to cover LOTE well, so it is likely never covered. Everything else is on the roadmap.

Depth

No subject will ever claim 100% coverage. Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander content is excluded by policy in every subject where it appears (see the legal block below), so per-subject coverage is intentionally below 100% — and each book publishes its coverage register in its contents booklet, so you can see exactly what is and isn't covered.

All documents are living documents: when errors are found and fixed, the document is improved and reissued.

Critical thinking is built in

Curriculums routinely use words that don't have universally accepted definitions. A student can't reason about an undefined term — they can only absorb whatever the writer assumed. So every Classbasics workbook follows a binding house rule:

Define before use

Contested terms are defined at first use, and the definition is attributed to a named source.

Steelman first

Where positions genuinely differ, every position is presented at its strongest before anything is evaluated.

Reasoning over conclusions

Assessment rewards the quality of reasoning, not the conclusion reached.

This isn't a political adjustment to the curriculum — it's the curriculum's own Critical and Creative Thinking standard, applied consistently.
